CARMICHAEL, CA (MPG) - Buck Family Automotive has received “Small Business of the Month” award from Assemblyman Josh Hoover.

Recognition comes just as the Carmichael company – payroll of three – celebrates five years in business. With a stag for a logo, the Bucks offer automotive services on Fair Oaks Boulevard.

Owners and staff welcomed the legislator during a whistle-stop visit last week. “It was a wonderful visit,” reported Rosie Buck. “We gave the Assemblyman a tour of our facility. He seemed interested in everything we do. We’re proud to have his resolution in our foyer.”

Hoover started the award program to highlight Seventh Assembly District merchants. Winners get a framed resolution for their storefront and a bump in promotion via Hoover’s newsletters. For the Assemblyman, meeting business owners affords insight into their challenges.

Rosie and husband Jeff have carved community roles with sponsorship and energy for non-profits. Rosie leads the Carmichael Chamber of Commerce, helps organize public events, and sits on Carmichael Improvement District and Parks Foundation boards. She and husband Jeff also serve San Juan School District, providing curriculum feedback and internships.

“Josh Hoover mentioned small businesses being the backbone of his district," said Rosie Buck. "He feels businesses preserve neighborhoods and bring community together. That aligns closely with our mission."

Anyone can nominate candidates for Hoover’s Small Business of the Month award. Companies should be within the Seventh Assembly District, which includes Carmichael and several other unincorporated areas. Contact Hoover via his website: [email protected].
