CARMICHAEL, CA (MPG) - More than 400 foodies last week crammed La Sierra Community Center for the annual Taste of Carmichael festival.

In its 20th year, the mammoth event broke fundraising records that boost the Carmichael Kiwanis Club’s benevolence to many causes. All funds raised by the event are channeled back to the community and for the club's environmental efforts.

More than 40 restaurants, markets and merchants enriched the culinary experience. Vintners and breweries libated and guests rocked off calories dancing in the center’s courtyard. Famed Carmichael son Todd Morgan and his Emblems, and the DTs duo, provided music.

Sponsors included Supervisor Rich Desmond, Dignity Health, Friends of the Aerospace Museum of California, Ron Greenwood (Windermere Real Estate), Dr. Gabrielle Rasi (Almond Orchard Dental Care), Carmichael Improvement District, Maita Subaru, SMUD and Tiner Real Estate.
