CARMICHAEL, CA (MPG) - Atria El Camino Gardens is proud to announce that Chris Fiori, director of culinary services, has been awarded the inaugural FLAME Award for Atria’s Central Valley region. The award is given to community-level culinary leaders who excel in running their culinary program and provide uncommon hospitality to their residents every day.

Award winners were selected based on high achievement in customer satisfaction survey results, employee satisfaction survey results, meeting or exceeding budget targets and internal quality enhancements scores.

“The staff and residents here at Atria El Camino Gardens are all so proud of Chef Chris for earning this recognition,” said Dana Stansel, executive director of Atria El Camino Gardens. “The dedication, professionalism and joy Chef Chris brings to his craft leaves an impact that lingers long after the plates are cleared. Atria created the FLAME Award (Flavor, Leadership, Artistry, Mentorship and Excellence) to honor the memory of former National Culinary Director Chef Dominic Giroux and celebrate the qualities that shape exceptional dining experiences for residents.

“Dominic had a rare gift, not only for his craft, but for bringing out the best in those around him,” said John Hetzel, vice president of culinary for Atria. “His talent in the kitchen went hand in hand with the warmth and humanity he showed to residents and teammates alike.
