(NAPSI) - Fortune 500 companies are looking for 5,000 at-home workers--for both full-time and part-time opportunities. Some of these positions are in customer service, and companies want to hire U.S. workers.

"Premium brands need premium customer service," said Jared Fletcher of Arise Virtual Solutions. "Customer loyalty is critical, so they're turning to the homeshore for better service."

"Homeshoring" is like outsourcing, but instead of hiring overseas, companies tap U.S. workers in their homes. Commutes consist of turning on the computer, logging on to secure networks and answering questions via phone, e-mail and chat.

Arise began homeshoring in 1997. Today, 200,000 people work on the homeshore. Earning $8 to $20 per hour, they choose their own hours, often working around kids' schedules.
