RANCHO CORDOVA, CA (MPG) - The City of Rancho Cordova has been leading the way to foster an innovative economy, and Council Member David Sander, who represents the city on the Greater Sacramento Economic Council (GSEC), was recognized for the city’s forward thinking on multiple fronts:

The city invested $1.5 million in a new workforce development program to provide residents with six free education and training opportunities to “upskill” and better compete for jobs.

The city partnered with SiFi networks to drive digital equity by bring broadband to every home and business through the Rancho Cordova FiberCity initiative.

The city is working with North Point to bring more than 700,000 sq. ft. of industrial space to the market, helping the region address the need for new space and thereby making our region more competitive for jobs and investment.

“This year’s honorees have risen above and beyond, demonstrating innovation, leadership and commitment to GSEC’s strategic pillars: growth, sustainability, equity and competitiveness,” said Barry Broome, President & CEO of GSEC.

Congratulations to Council Member Sander for his excellence in representing the city on the GSEC Board in order to grow, sustain, bring equity and drive competitiveness in our regional economy.
