CARMICHAEL, CA (MPG) - Community leaders last week rubbed shoulders – and met the public – during a “Meet Your Elected Officials” night convened by the Carmichael Chamber of Commerce.

VIPS included Congress, Senate, Assembly and County Board of Supervisors legislators – plus appointed leaders of civic bodies. Carmichael Park District administration and Foundation board dispatched representatives; SMUD and Carmichael Water District ambassadors were on tap; educational administration was fronted by San Juan School district officials.

“We staged a meet-and-greet opportunity as chance for Chamber members to get close to officials who’ve been elected or appointed to serve us,” said Chamber president Izzy DeLancey. “We wanted people to have a chance to talk about what’s affecting our community.”
