CITRUS HEIGHTS, CA (MPG) - With a snip of a ribbon, scores of burgers and gallons of adult beverages, Shenanigans Kitchen and Bar opened for business at the Madison and San Juan Avenue corner last weekend.
More than 200 customers packed the new hangout. In the glow of 10 large-screen TVs, dancers stomped to Carmichael rock group Wasted Space. Band principals are Shenanigans manager Jen Holman’s parents, Michelle and Johnny Barnes.
“It’s a family affair,” smiled Holman, 34, as her mother wailed “Me and Bobby McGee” from the stage. “Mom and dad have supported me in everything I do. It’s great to have them play at our grand opening. Wasted Space always brings a crowd.”
In addition to libations, Shenanigans Kitchen and Bar offers pizzas, burgers, designer baked potatoes, salads and snacks. The business is located at 7431 Madison Ave., Citrus Heights.
