CARMICHAEL, CA (MPG) - The 20th annual Taste of Carmichael showcasing the best that the community has to offer is on May 9.

This fun event has received recognition as the Best of Carmichael event for many years.

This is the biggest annual fundraiser presented by the Kiwanis Club of Carmichael, which was also named the best nonprofit organization of the year by the Carmichael Chamber of Commerce for 2024.

Kiwanis is an all-volunteer service organization and has provided funding support and thousands of volunteer service hours to the Carmichael community for the past 63 years.

One-hundred percent of the funds raised from the Taste of Carmichael event goes into Kiwanis projects.

Taste of Carmichael attendees help the Kiwanis Club of Carmichael Foundation provide funds in support of the Kiwanis Family House, local schools, visual and performing arts projects, scholarships, children’s programs and numerous community organizations and projects.

Gold sponsors are Sacramento County Supervisor Rich Desmond, Dignity Health and Friends of the Aerospace Museum of California. Silver sponsor is Ron Greenwood of Windermere Real Estate. Bronze sponsors are Dr. Gabrielle Rasi of Almond Orchard Dental Care, Carmichael Improvement District, Maita Subaru, SMUD and Tiner Real Estate.

In addition, several local businesses and nonprofit organizations will set up tables with information about their services and programs.

Todd Morgan and the Emblems, and the DT’s, two of the area’s most popular bands, will provide live dance music and a raffle and a silent auction will also be part of the annual Taste of Carmichael.
