Wasted Space to Perform

Tie-dye reigns as Carmichael-based rock group Wasted Space takes center-stage in Carmichael Park this Saturday.
CARMICHAEL, CA (MPG) - Carmichael’s concert season last weekend combined 17 regional ensembles in a two-day festival. Hundreds of volunteer musicians boosted the Sacramento Valley Symphonic Band Association’s two-day community band showcase.
The season continues this Saturday with the Wasted Space rock band taking centerstage in Carmichael Park. The six-piece group was last year voted “Best Band” in the Best of Carmichael contest. Concert kickoff is at 6 p.m.
Remaining performances are scheduled as follows.
Wasted Space will be on June 7.
Fast Times will be on June 14.
Groove Thang will be on June 21.
Todd Morgan and the Emblems will be on June 28.
Carmichael Park is at 5750 Grant Ave.
Concert sponsors include Carmichael Recreation and Park District, Carmichael Chamber, Carmichael Improvement District, Food in the Hood 916, Buck Family Automotive, Sacramento Valley Symphonic Band Association, Supervisor Rich Desmond, KZAP Radio, Carmichael Parks Foundation, Carmichael Kiwanis and Arthur Murray Dance Studio.
