SACRAMENTO REGION, CA (MPG) - Celebrate Italian American Heritage Day at the Italian Cultural Center of Sacramento on Oct. 12.
Have you ever learned how to make Gnocchi (potato dumplings Italian style)?
You can learn that at the 24th annual Italian heritage festival. The best part of the festival is the traditional Italian food and entertainment. The event also features Italian wine varietals, Italian beer and sodas. Dining is both al fresco and indoor.
The Italian marketplace features Italian products and souvenirs. Enjoy the Italian Children's folk dancers in their colorful costumes.

General admission is $15 and free for children 18 and under. Food and beverages are separate. The celebration hours are from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 12. The Italian Center is at 6821 Fair Oaks Blvd., Carmichael and parking is free.
