Winning this competition would be a meaningful step toward Bethany’s future, helping relieve the financial pressures of college and giving her the opportunity to pursue her dreams without the weight of tuition costs holding her back.
CARMICHAEL, CA (MPG) - Bethany Hernandez, born on May 17, 2024, sharing a birthday with her beloved grandmother, is the first child of local educators Sara and Tim Hernandez.
Even at such a young age, Bethany has shown remarkable traits that make her stand out: a deep sense of compassion, a joyful love of food, animals, and the simple pleasure of people watching.
What truly sets Bethany apart is her emotional awareness. Whether it's hearing another baby cry or sensing someone’s sadness, she instinctively shows concern. For those closest to her, she often offers sweet, comforting kisses, a tender gesture that reflects her kind heart.
Bethany has entered the Baby of the Year competition with one goal in mind: supporting her future college education. As two teachers based in Sacramento, Tim and Sara understand the value of education and also the significant financial burden that comes with it.
Sara, a Sacramento native, attended Loretto High School before earning her undergraduate degree from University of California, Davis and her teaching credential from Sacramento State.
Tim, originally from Southern California, was recruited to play football at Sacramento State, where he competed for three years. Together, they’ve built a life in the Carmichael community, hoping to raise a family that embodies the same values and excellence the region is known for.
