CARMICHAEL, CA (MPG) - Jesuit High School’s recent art sale raised $70,000 with the sale of 65 canvases, sculptures and photographs.
Proceeds were split 50/50 between the Catholic school and art contributors.
Offering the work from many high-profile California artists, the fall event has been a Jesuit fundraising staple for more than a decade.
An Oct. 29 reception kicked off the campus exhibition. As wine flowed, sales began.
With a $7,500 price tag, a massive Miles Herman cityscape was among opening night acquisitions. Online sales continued briskly over the next week.
The 2025 show racked up near-record purchases, reported Jesuit’s Executive Advancement Director Kim Kalmbach.
“It’s an important event that supports local artists as well as Jesuit," Kalmbach said. “We’re always grateful for artists who participate. The quality of their work astounds us, year after year. And we really appreciate the community that comes out and buys.”
