CARMICHAEL, CA (MPG) – Fans of American restaurant chain Jack’s Urban Eats will no longer have to commute downtown to get their fix.
The farm-fresh restaurant serving sandwiches, fries, salads and more celebrated the grand opening of their Carmichael location, located at 4005 Manzanita Ave. in the Carmichael Village Shopping Center, with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday, Feb. 27 put on by the Carmichael Chamber of Commerce and Carmichael Improvement District.
Representatives from Senator Roger Niello, Representative Ami Bera, Assemblyman Josh Hoover and District 3 Supervisor Rich Desmond’s offices were present at the ribbon cutting event in support of the grand opening and to provide certificates from their respective offices.
Excitement about the Carmichael location of the eatery radiated from the restaurant owners and staff who gathered to cut the ribbon before jumping into their 11 a.m. shift.
According to Jeffrey Gillaspy, partial owner of Jack’s Urban Eats, the Carmichael location is the chain’s first new location post-pandemic.
Gillaspy attended Rio Americano High School, and his ties to Carmichael run deep.
“I used to eat at the Denny’s that was here years ago on the way to school,” he said.
“We’re just excited to be here,” Andre Rosabo, partial co-owner echoed. “We’re hoping we can provide a lot of opportunity for the neighborhood.”

A line quickly formed inside the restaurant following the ceremony, with a $3 offer on their popular urban fries enticing hungry guests.
Jack’s takes their role in the community seriously, offering fundraising opportunities including giving back 20 percent to various community organizations and causes. The establishment is booked out for the next month and a half for fundraisers, according to a public relations representative.
“I think it’s a great opportunity for Carmichael to bring out a well-known establishment” said Mike Rockenstein, Carmichael’s honorary mayor. “…Good food that’s prepared on site and ready to eat, it’s a great opportunity for Carmichael residents to really enjoy.”
