Chautauqua Playhouse Presents ‘The Diary of Anne Frank’

CARMICHAEL, CA (MPG) – The historically important play, “The Diary of Anne Frank”, will be performed on stage at Chautauqua Playhouse through March 22. Performances are scheduled for Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m., and Sundays at 2 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online at https://chautauquaplayhouse1.thundertix.com, by calling 916-489-7539 or at the door (subject to availability).
In this transcendently powerful Tony-nominated adaptation by Wendy Kesselman, Anne Frank emerges from history a living, lyrical, intensely gifted young girl who confronts her rapidly changing life and the increasing horror of her time with astonishing honesty, wit and determination.
Chautauqua’s production, directed by Sara Townsend, features set and lighting designs by Andrew Fiffick and costume designs by Warren Harrison. Local actors in the play include Natalie Zimmerman, Monica Vejar, Paul Bott, Rich Kirlin, Bella Reeder, Kayla Fanning, John Walck, Mike Moon, Jennifer York, Nate Reeder, Jim Tarrell, Barret Chew and David Ford.
Celebrating its 50th year in operation, Chautauqua Playhouse is the oldest community theatre in the Sacramento area. Located at 5325 Engle Road, Suite 110 in Carmichael, the theatre has been part of the La Sierra Community Center since 1985.
