Park Concert Season Kicks Off

Carmichael Park District concerts began May 2 with a blockbuster rock performance by the 12-piece East Wind ensemble.
CARMICHAEL, CA (MPG) - Carmichael Park District concerts began May 2 with a blockbuster rock performance by the 12-piece East Wind ensemble. Almost 1000 fans enjoyed the sunset show.
The 2026 series features May-to-June performances, leaving the park stage bare in the hotter months of July and August.
In addition, a Symphonic Band Festival will feature on Saturday, June 6 and Sunday, June 7. Coming to Carmichael from all over Northern California, a dozen volunteer community bands will present a varied repertoire, from marches to jazz.
Shows are free and dancing is encouraged. Donations to sustain the series are accepted at all events. Food trucks offer refreshment.
Remaining concerts are scheduled as follows (6 p.m. downbeat unless otherwise stated):
Group Therapy is scheduled for May 9.
The David Perez Band features on May 16.
Outlaws and Angels ride in on May 23.
On June 6 the Sacramento Symphonic Band Festival blows from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 pm.
Remedy7 is prescribed for June 6.
The Symphonic Bands festival continues on June 7, from 8:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Todd Morgan and the Emblems star on June 13.
Wasted Space is billed for June 20.
Hipper than Hip ends the series on June 27.
