Taste of Carmichael is the Place to be May 29

CARMICHAEL, CA (MPG) – The 21st Taste of Carmichael, sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Carmichael, will be showcasing the best the community has to offer on May 29. This event has received recognition as the Best Event in Carmichael for several years and the Kiwanis Club of Carmichael has been named the Best Nonprofit in Carmichael for the past two years.
Taste of Carmichael is the biggest annual fundraiser presented by the Kiwanis Club of Carmichael, an all-volunteer service organization that has provided funding and thousands of volunteer service hours to the greater Carmichael area for 64 years. All proceeds from this event will fund programs, projects and school initiatives to support children, families and residents in the area.
Gold sponsors this year are Dignity Health and the Friends of the Aerospace Museum of California. Silver sponsors are Ken and Lynn Hall and Lind Brothers Funeral Home. Bronze sponsors are Supervisor Rich Desmond, SMUD, Almond Orchard Dental Care, Maita Subaru, Buck’s Family Automotive, RE/MAX/Kim White Realtor and Hal Snow.
Taste of Carmichael ticketholders can sample food from dozens of restaurants and markets, featuring a variety of cuisines including American, Mexican, Vietnamese, Jamaican, Chinese, Italian, as well as desserts and much more.

Staff from valley and foothill wineries and breweries will pour their favorite vintages and drafts. The Kiwanis Club of Carmichael is thrilled to have Baker Family Winery, owned by Carmichael native Dusty Baker, join Taste of Carmichael this year. Dusty will be attending, so make sure to come and thank him for his support of his hometown of Carmichael! New restaurants featured this year are Shogun Sushi, Jack’s Urban Eats, Pho House and Akira Sushi and Panda Express.
The Kiwanis Club of Carmichael is happy to announce that the organization will be providing live dance music by the local popular band, Wasted Space, so come and enjoy the music and bring your dancing shoes!
The Taste of Carmichael will be held from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on May 29 at the La Sierra Community Center located at 5325 Engle Road in Carmichael. Tickets are $80 and can be purchased at www.kiwanisofcarmichael.org or at the door that evening for anyone 21 or over.
