Bringing Spanish and American hits to the spring/summer concert season, the David Perez Band takes center stage in Carmichael Park.


CARMICHAEL, CA (MPG) - The third concert in the Carmichael Park summer season on Saturday, May 16 featured the David Perez Band.

Launched in West Texas in the 1960s, the eight-piece ensemble has included five generations of the David Perez family. More than 600 Carmichaelites and visitors enjoyed the two-hour show.

The 2026 concert series continues with May to June Saturday performances. This week’s show introduces the eight-piece Outlaws and Angels country band from Grass Valley.

A Symphonic Band Festival will fill the park on Saturday, June 6 and Sunday, June 7. Hitting Carmichael from all over Northern California, a dozen volunteer community bands will present a varied repertoire, from marches to jazz.

All shows are free and dancing is encouraged. Donations to sustain the series are accepted at all events. Food trucks offer refreshment.

Remaining performances are scheduled as follows with 6 p.m. start times unless otherwise stated: Outlaws and Angels (May 23), The Sacramento Symphonic Band Festival (June 6 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 pm and June 7 from  8:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.), Remedy7 (June 6), Todd Morgan and the Emblems (June 13), Wasted Space (June 20) and Hipper than Hip (June 27).
