CARMICHAEL, CA (MPG) - Carmichael Park’s summer concert season Saturday, May 23 featured a band of Outlaws & Angels from Penn Valley.
The country rock group fielded singers, percussion and pedal steel guitar. Several members have worked together for 20 years and represent more than six decades of professional performance.
Almost than 600 Carmichaelites and visitors applauded the two-hour show.
The 2026 concert series continues with June performances. There will be no public concert on the weekend of May 30.
A Symphonic Band Festival takes over on Saturday, June 6 and Sunday, June 7. Converging on Carmichael from all over Northern California, volunteer community bands will offer classical to pop selections.
On the evening of Saturday June 6, Remedy7 will present a classic rock show.
All concerts are free and dancing is encouraged. Donations to sustain the series are accepted at all events. Food trucks offer refreshment.
Remaining performances are scheduled as follows with 6 p.m. start times unless otherwise stated: The Sacramento Symphonic Band Festival (June 6 from 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 pm and June 7 from 8:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.), Remedy7 (June 6), Todd Morgan and the Emblems (June 13), Wasted Space (June 20) and Hipper than Hip (June 27).
