CARMICHAEL, CA (MPG) – On Saturday, June 6, Carmichael Park resonated with music for all ages and tastes.

A two-day symphonic band festival brought brass and woodwind players out of the woodwork. A Saturday night rock concert had fans grooving at the same sound shell.

The Sacramento Valley Symphonic Band Association’s annual reunion welcomed 19 bands and hundreds of volunteer musicians to Carmichael. Non-stop concerts kicked off at 8:30 am on Saturday and Sunday. Selections ranged from marches to jazz.

The volunteers tore down early on Saturday night to accommodate the fifth performance in Carmichael’s summer concert series: a concert by country rock band Remedy7.

Remedy7 musicians prepare to dish rock and country favorites as the Carmichael Park summer concert series continues.

Almost 600 Carmichaelites and visitors applauded the two-hour show.

Music flipped back to symphonic favorites on Sunday. Community band players continued their blowathon all day. Final fanfares sounded at 7:30 pm.

Carmichael Recreation and Park District's 2026 music series continues on remaining June Saturdays. All concerts are free and begin at 6 pm.
