CARMICHAEL, CA (MPG) - Carmichael Parks Foundation’s “Dinner in the Park” seventh gala will next month transform two hidden-gem reserves with fairy-lights, music and fine food.

Sept. 19 guests will amble from Sutter Community Garden to Jensen Botanical Gardens. Musicians will serenade each step along the happy trail. 

On Garfield House meadow, dinner will be served by Pickles and Olives Catering Company of Sacramento. The menu includes smoked brisket, barbecued chicken, vegetables and garden-inspired salads. Wines will be supplied by Rombauer Winery of Napa Valley. Carmichael’s River City Brewing Company donates Beer.

Restaurateur Skip Wahl will emcee a fund-a-need auction to benefit park programs and beautification. After dinner, the Wasted Space rock band will provide dance music.

Starting at 5 p.m., the gala is a community favorite that usually sells out. Tickets are $150 per person. Parking is accommodated at Carmichael Elementary School 6141 Sutter Ave. Free shuttles transport guests from campus to party.
