CARMICHAEL, CA (MPG) - Polling ended Saturday, Oct. 10; votes for the 9th annual Best of Carmichael race are now being tallied.

Victors in more than 60 business and service categories will be announced at the contest award gala on Friday, Nov. 6. Results will be shared in this newspaper following the event. The Carmichael Times and the Carmichael Chamber of Commerce have been co-sponsors of the area popularity contest since its 2017 inception.

“Voters this year exceeded our 2025 record by more than 5000 votes” reported Chamber President Rosie Buck. “Our aim is to grow participation and we’ve succeeded. This contest gathers more enthusiasm every year. It’s a great boost for businesses and for community spirit.”

Anyone may attend the formal awards gala, hosted by the Chamber at La Sierra Community Center.

Attendees are encouraged to help solve a mystery case, inspired by the vintage board game "Clue."

Diversions include a dessert auction, guest gifts and prizes for the best-dressed attendee and best-themed table.

Pre-registration is required; Gala tickets are $70 per person for chamber members ($80 for non-members). Momo’s Smokehouse will cater the buffet dinner. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.
