Boom! Muskets, Patriots & Revolutionary Spirit for Carmichael’s Fourth of July Parade Sons and Daughters of the American Revolution Bring History to Life

WHAT: Experience the sights and sounds of America’s fight for independence as members of the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) and Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) march in the annual Carmichael Elks Lodge Fourth of July Parade. Dressed in authentic Revolutionary War-era uniforms and colonial attire, members and guests will ride on patriotic floats celebrating the nation’s 250th anniversary era and honoring the men and women who helped secure American independence. Adding to the excitement, the SAR Color Guard will perform live musket firings at five locations along the parade route and carry historic flags used during the war, giving spectators a dramatic glimpse into America’s colonial past.

WHEN: Friday, July 4, 2026 Parade begins at 10:30 a.m.

WHY IT MATTERS: The Sons and Daughters of the American Revolution, who are direct descendants of Revolutionary War Patriots, are dedicated to preserving American history, honoring Revolutionary War patriots, and promoting education about the nation’s founding. Their participation brings a living-history experience to one of the region’s most beloved Independence Day traditions.
