Local authors, Phyllis E. Smith and Victoria M. Tudor will return to the Government Center to share about the Historic Marysville City Cemetery. Learn about the history of the cemetery and about the influential figures that reside in the Historic Marysville City Cemetery. In the cemetery lie the ghosts of the city founders, Western heroes, infamous bandits, a Donner Party survivor, a founder of Macy’s department store, a former minister to Japan, and more! Attendees can also get more information on how they can help with the preservation of the cemetery and the annual "Tales from the Crypt” event that take place in October. While this event is geared towards adults and older children, library staff will have crafts and toys for young children whose parents/caregivers wish to attend. No registration necessary.
